The August 2016 District Arcade

The District Arcade is a free video game expo, organized by local video game developers! See the newest, most experimental games from the greater DMV community. Play shoot ’em ups on a steampunk fantasy railroad, abstract homages to art history, and intergalactic zoology.

The team from MAGFest are bringing console games as well, all free for you to play!  Melanie challenges any takers to Adventure on the Atari 2600.

Our venue, Bravo! Bravo! is providing their luxurious space to the District Arcade. There will be two 15 foot screens and 4 even larger couches. Indie devs –  you can have your game played on the big screens too! Contact us for details.

The rest of the space will have more indie games, MAGFest Arcade games, and a large dance floor/stage area where more games will be played! We have a special menu and a full bar, so bring your friends and network with cool local game creators.

Play games by local indie developers.
Here is our ever growing list of Indie Games:

Play games brought to you by MAGFest’s Arcade.
This event is co-organized by our friends at MAGFest Arcade. Do you want another chance to play Adventure on the Atari 2600? Is there an NES game that you used to love? They will be there!

Details for Game Developers:
Join VA/MD/DC and Baltimore area indie devs and show your game to an eager, lively crowd, for free! Bring your first build, or a commercially-available game. Free tables will give you enough space for a laptop and a 24 inch monitor. You can also fit a 2 foot by 6 foot standing banner next to your table. For larger spaces, or to get your game on a giant screen, you can sponsor the event at a very reasonable rate.

To advertise your game at the District Arcade, email Melanie at MolecularJig dot com.
